Neck Deep Live Review

Neck Deep
January 30th, 2015

Neck Deep played an unbelievably flawless set in Glasgow on January 30th at The Garage. They give 110% throughout the whole night and it really showed.

Lets start from the beginning of the night, Canadian natives Seaway started the night and they kicked off what was potentially the best pop-punk gig I've personally ever been to.

The energy these guys put into their performance from the minute they stepped onto the stage was fantastic and they really got the crowd into a good mind set in peroration for what the rest of the night had in store for them.

Next on stage all the way from the other side of the world, Australia's amazing Trophy Eyes. These guys are definitely ones to watch, if you've listened to their album already you'll know that they have excellently composed songs however they are just as amazing live. These guys had the crowd jumping from the barrier to the back of the room for their entire set and the crowd loved every moment. It was these guys that really started the wave of crowd surfers that just got crazier as the night went on. If you've not heard their album yet go check it out, they're well worth it!

Direct support on this Neck Deep tour came from Chicago lads Knuckle Puck. These guys are something else on stage, their energy is amazing and the crowd were really feeding off it during their set. It's been a while since I've been to a gig where there is constantly crowd surfers coming over the barrier non-stop for a bands entire set, although I really shouldn't be surprised with Knuckle Puck's fast passed set and super energetic delivery of each and every singe song that they performed. Everyone in the room really seemed to love what they were watching and listening to.

The headliners, the guys everyone was there to see Neck Deep! Playing a variety of songs from both EP's "A History Of Bad Decisions" & "Rain In July" as well as songs off their album "Wishful Thinking". I've personally seen these guys live a couple of times now and they seem to keep getting better and better. The venue was prepared for the crowd to go wild and photographers were warned before the guys come on that they might need to leave the pit if there were too many crowd surfers, however we were lucky that the brunt of crowd surfers came over after the first three songs. Neck Deep have an fantastic presence onstage and they have a phenomenal amount of energy, everyone in the room was in complete awe of them. During their song "A Part Of Me" Ben (singer) told everyone to take their phones out and put their torches on and with that brought a beautiful scene to look at as everyone stood with phones out singing along to the song.

Going to see a Neck Deep headliner is definitely recommended if you're looking for a night full of amazing music and laughs with the band as their banter in stage is great.

Example - live review November 2014

Example
November 2014

Example played an absolutely outstanding set in the Barrowlands in Glasgow the other night. Right from the minute he hit the stage the crowd were raring to go, he put 100% into his performance and everyone else was vibing off his energy.

As the lights dimmed and Examples band bounced onto the stage the crowd were already screaming. Playing through a setlist of new songs as well as older classics. Example's raw passion for what he does really shines through in his performances. He told the crowd that he wanted to see crowd surfers all night long.

From Example and his band to every singe person in the crowd there was not one person standing still, everyone from the front to the back was bouncing all night long.

We had an absolutely fantastic night at the gig and photographing Example and we are looking forward the the next time he is back in Glasgow already. For more pictures from the night click here.

The Maine Live Review - October 2014

The Maine
October 3rd 2014

The Maine played another mind-blowingly amazing set in Glasgow on October 3rd at The Garage. Every time these guys come across the ocean from the states they put on a fantastic show that out does the previous they always give 110%.

The night began with a beautiful acoustic set for the extremely talented Nick Santino from Massachusetts, His upbeat funky melodies kept the crowd dancing and singing along right from the start of his set to the end. Nick was followed by Arizona natives Lydia, for these guys it was their first time in the UK and their upbeat indie rock songs really got the crowd warmed up before The Maine hit the stage.

as The Maine make their way on to the stage the lights go down and everyone knows its time. Right from the first song The Maine give us absolutely everything they have their raw passion and brilliant talents as musicians really shines through when these guys play live. The Maine have a vast catalog of songs to choose from and they picked in my opinion the best set list to play, playing crowd favorites from Pioneer and Forever Halloween but they also played a variety of old from “We All Rock Along” to “Right Girl”, “Inside of You” and “We’ll All Be”. The crowd got some good laughs in with the band when Garrett ripped his jeans and announced it to everyone. All the guys in the band and the entire crowd danced and sang having an all round great night.

What a brilliant night and we are already looking forward to the next time they're back. You can see the full gallery of pictures from the gig here.

The Summer Set - live review April 2014

The Summer Set
Glasgow April 2014

The Summer Set played yet another amazing show in Glasgow last night at The Garage. Every time this band come over from the states they put on a show that out does the last and it doesn't matter whether they are supporting or headlining they always give 100%.

The night started with Paradise Fears from South Dakota who's upbeat songs got the crowd dancing and jumping from the start to end of their set. They were swiftly followed by William Beckett who's quirky songs gave the crowd that feel good momentum that kept them warmed up for The Summer Set.

The lights dimmed as The Summer Set make their way on to the stage. From the get go The Summer Set give it everything they've got and the raw passion all 5 members of the band have for music really shines through each one of them when they are on stage. This band have a varied catalog of songs to choose from and they picked a brilliant set list to play, playing crowd favorites from each album. The fact that the members of the band spend every moment on stage dancing and felling every note of every song they played and the crowd did the exact same.

What a brilliant night and we are already looking forward to the next time they're back. You can see the full gallery of pictures from the gig here.

Memphis May Fire - Glasgow

Memphis May Fire
Glasgow April 2014

Memphis May Fire absolutely killed it the other night in Glasgow at the Cathouse. The place was completely packed and the crowd spend the whole night on their toes.

Unfortunately by the time I got into The Cathouse the first band we're just finishing their set but from what I seen the crowd were really into them. The next band up was 'FACT' all the way from Japan, although most of the crowd hadn't heard of them before (which was asked by the band) by the end of the second song they had won the entire crowd over and everyone was ready for 'The Word Alive' to come on and they kept the enery high with sing alongs from the crowd.

Now for the main act and the crowd have well and truely been warmed up. Memphis May Fire take the stage by storm from the moment they came out to the moment they left and they crowd loved every second and they hung on to every word that lead singer Matty said each time he would take a minute to talk to the crowd.
