We caught up with Forever The Sickest Kids when they played the Cathouse in Glasgow as part of their 3 date UK tour before performing at the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds. Whilst the other bands on the tour ‘It Boys’ and ‘Cartel’ were sound-checking and getting their hair cut... we managed to sit down with the boys from Forever The Sickest Kids and interview them.

After the interview we were invited to stay for the gig, and with the Cathouse already filling up, we were getting excited to see what the guys had to offer as we'd never seen them live before.
'It Boys' from LA kicked off the night with a bang, and their great combination of electro-pop and punk had everyone dancing straight away. You could already feel the energy. After playing a short set and leaving the crowd wanting more, they left the stage and made way for Cartel (Atlanta, Georgia).

Having had a period where nothing was going right for these guys and being without a label, it was obvious to see the band could still kill it on stage. People loved them. They performed a bunch of older songs as well as some new material and it was clear the crowd were enjoying it.
It was finally time for our headliners - Forever The Sickest Kids - to take the stage. As they bounced onto the stage, opening with 'Robots & Aliens' from their most recent album, their fans were screaming. Then, off came Kyle's (drummer) t-shirt. Frontman Jonathan kept the crowd entertained in between songs, and at one point even told a guy who was starting moshpits that he was awesome, and then went on to give a shout out to a fan girl he was talking to earlier in the day, and stole her party hat... It's the little things that count in a venue as intimate as the Cathouse. As the band continued to rock the stage, they went on to play Hip Hop Chick. The crowd singing along. The atmosphere was fantastic. And after playing a handful of other songs it was time for the guys to leave the stage. As they left, we could tell the crowd wanted more.
The band obviously know what their fans want, and returned to the stage for an encore. Performing 'She Likes' and 'She's a Lady', killing it and blowing everyone away.
